McDonald & Son Builders is a family owned building company, we are based in south-west Brisbane, QLD.
Our company was founded in 2007 by Allan McDonald, a qualified builder with over 50 years experience in the industry.

In 2010 Dean McDonald (Allan’s son) and his wife Vanessa took over the company.
Allan McDonald continues to work with our team on a consultancy basis, assisting customers with their building enquiries and supports our team by offering his guidance, knowledge and experience from his many years in the building trade.

Dean McDonald is a qualified Builder, holding a Certificate III in Carpentry , Certificate IV in Building and also holding a Certificate III in Demolition/Asbestos Removal.  Dean  is personally involved in every project, both in a management and supervisory capacity and is supported by  his wife Vanessa.  Vanessa manages the day-to-day operations of the business including office administration, marketing and the majority of client communication.

Initially beginning with a team of two, our company  has consistently maintained good growth.
We regularly get repeat business from our clients and our ‘word of mouth’ referrals are truly the greatest compliment.

Specialising in large renovations, alterations and additions, both residential and commercial, we build new homes, granny flats, teenage retreats, offices and a variety of other larger scale construction projects.

We are long standing members of the Housing Industry Association of QLD (HIA) Member No. 917505
